Ezra at 8 Months
Growth & Appearance:
You weigh 21 lbs. You are 30 inches long. 18-24 month clothing. Size 4 diapers.
You don't have much in the way of hair. It's light brown, flirting with blonde, and wispy fine. Your eyes are blue - medium in color, deep in presence. You have a slight blush of color down the top of your arms from the summer sun.
Sleeping:
You go to bed around 8:30 and get up around 7 am. You sleep in 2-3 hour stretches throughout the night. Sometimes you'll do 4.
As soon as you hit 8 months you went from three naps a day to two.
Development:
You are very mobile. You're a superb crawler and lightning fast when the occasion calls for it. You pull up with ease and will transfer from the coffee table to the couch easily.
You prefer the presence of others and will usually cry if left alone. You require quite a lot of my attention. You're happiest being held. In fact, sometimes we joke that you're trying to get back into the womb. You like me. A lot.
You are ticklish. We do the "corn-on-the-cob" with our teeth to your thighs and it will usually elicit laughter, though you are a tough crowd.
You have an intense gaze. Recently, a cashier told me he'd never felt such penetrating judgement from a baby.

You nurse every 2-3 hours around the clock. You eat a bit of whatever we're eating. You will aggressively pursue ice pops. So much so, that we all hide from you while eating them. One glimpse of one and you launch into a high-speed chase, racing across the floor panting frantically.
Breastfeeding is borderline abusive at times. It's like feeding a wolf. You will roll around in my lap, even getting on all fours at times, all while staying clamped down and suckling away. Sometimes you sweetly rub my face, sometimes you shove your fingers in my mouth. Bizarre times.
