Pregnancy: Week 28 & 29

The past two weeks have flown by. I've been busy working on shower invitations, which involved sitting at the computer for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, sitting at the computer really does a number on my back these days so I've not made much time for blogging lately. Shame on me, I know.

I've had pretty high spirits over the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, my body has not. I won't go into great whiny detail, but I am experiencing abdominal muscle separation. It occurs when the main abdominal muscles begin to pull apart. And it hurts. A lot. Other than that, I've been feeling pretty okay. Our tiny girl is growing, no doubt. I already feel as if I'm running out of room for her. You can actually feel her little body now. Just poke around until you find the hard spot! Sometimes, if you're patient, you can even see her moving. You can see her kick or even see a body part go gliding across my belly. I really enjoy it and know I will miss it when she's no longer in there. Don't misconstrue me... I am so ready to meet her and hold her, but I do think I'll miss feeling these movements inside. Pregnancy has definitely not been all sunshine and posies for me, but it has still been such a surreal experience that compares to nothing else. Okay, cheesiness over.

Ben and I went to Tennessee last weekend to visit with family. My time there consisted mostly of napping and being lazy with my mom and sister. However, we did have a bout of family yoga in the living room floor. Pregnant me, my sister, mom, and even my dad! Ben and I also dug out an old Battleship game and challenged one another to some healthy competition.

The family kitty Delphi not letting the belly deter her from a nap.
Look familiar? This is inadvertently becoming a cat blog.
29 weeks and polka dotted.
I realized I'm wearing the same tunic in my last photo. What can I say? It's my favorite. No pants required. Just leggings, which are way better.

Like I mentioned before, I've been working on the shower invitations. I'll share the full thing once everyone has received their invite, but here's a sneak peak.

Monitoring the design process.
All finished and ready for distributing!

I've also been working on a few other decor-related things for the shower that I'm excited to share when the time comes. I think traditionally the shower is hosted by loved ones who do all of the work. My loved ones are definitely responsible for this lovely shower to be had. However, do all of the work? I love stuff like this, so I'm pretty involved.

They're also pretty involved...
