Pregnancy: Week 33

Well, it's a good thing week 32 was so good because week 33 definitely didn't go so great. Just as I feared, I got the stomach virus that Ben had. I can honestly say that I think it was physically the most miserable 48 hours ever. I ended up with a pile of blankets and pillows in the bathroom floor where I stayed at all night last Wednesday. Even with the pillows and blankets, there was definitely no sleeping. My doctor called in a prescription to treat my symptoms just enough for me to be able to get a little bit of sleep and get some water down. Then Pedialyte. Then soup. I've finally made a full recovery. Even after most of my symptoms had ceased, the nausea persisted for a few days (not to mention the incredibly sore belly muscles from heaving, eh gross... I know). I was really dehydrated, but thankfully it didn't take me too long to get back to normal.

In the end, I was out of commission for about three days. So I'm a little behind on my thank you cards for all of the lovely baby shower gifts we received. I've got half done and should have them all finished and out by the end of the week. I'm also making this post really late. I feel like I've just got behind on everything, including the nursery. Hopefully I'll get caught back up on everything in a few days.

Week 33 - Prior to getting sick
Not sure if it has to do with the stomach virus (I was hunched over a lot) but Violet turned sideways for a day or so during all of it and that was quite painful. She finally returned to her usual up and down position and I noticed immediately that she has definitely dropped down some. She still wants to live in my ribs, but it's not nearly as bad now. Instead there's more of a pressure in my hips and pelvis. Not positive on what it means, but it seems like she's slowly getting ready to enter the world!
